Pre-GED and GED Classes

Monday – Wednesday

8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Registration:  Monday, August 28th – Thursday, August 31st

8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Students must take a basic reading and math assessment.  This assessment takes about 2.5 hours.  Please plan accordingly.  Students must be at least 17 years old and withdrawn from public school in order to enroll in Adult Education (17 year olds must have parent waiver/referral from previous school attended).

Registration will be held every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. once classes begin


Classes will start after Labor Day

Tuesday, September 5, 2017 until 

Wednesday, May 23, 2018

Course Descriptions


GED Classes

The GED class prepares students for the official GED tests.  Students must qualify to be in this fast-paced advanced class.  The GED class offers integrated instruction in the four areas covered on the GED test:  Reasoning through Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Mathematical Reasoning.

Pre-GED Classes

The Pre-GED class is specifically designed for students who need more intensive academic remediation in math, Reading, Social studies, and Science in preparation for the four-part GED Ready Test.

 

Free Childcare Provided (space permitting) for children 2 months to 3 years

(3 year olds must have a birthdate after September 1 to qualify)

Immunization records required
